Job description

Program Description: Customer requires enterprise architecture, assessment, modernization, integration, and project management support for IT Enterprise and large-scale programs.

The initiative will evaluate whether current enterprise services can securely and reliably support large-scale development, testing, performance, scalability, failover, and production operations. The work includes assessments of enterprise technology capabilities, including the ServiceNow platform, enterprise network architecture, Microsoft Intune mobility environment, and the integration of enterprise applications with external vendor mobile devices and supporting systems.

Position Description: The Microsoft Intune SME serves as the technical authority for Microsoft Intune architecture, governance, implementation, and operations. Working in partnership with the Mobility Architect, the role evaluates platform capabilities, develops implementation strategies, defines tenant architecture, and establishes the standards, processes, and operating models necessary to support large-scale enterprise deployments.

The Intune SME converts enterprise mobility strategies, architecture decisions, and governance objectives into implementable platform designs, deployment approaches, operational capabilities, testing methodologies, integration patterns, and lifecycle management practices. The role ensures Microsoft Intune can support enterprise-scale performance, security, compliance, operational sustainability, and future growth requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assess Microsoft Intune tenant architecture, governance structures, administrative boundaries, environment separation, and operating models to identify risks, constraints, scalability concerns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with the Mobility Architect to assess platform capabilities, validate architectural assumptions, evaluate implementation feasibility, and support enterprise technology recommendations.
  • Provide technical implementation guidance and platform expertise supporting mobility strategy development, roadmap planning, architecture reviews, and technology evaluations.
  • Validate scalability, performance, governance, operational readiness, and supportability assumptions associated with current-state and future-state mobility architectures.
  • Define and maintain enterprise Intune architecture, including Dev, Test, Pre-Production, and Production environments, role delegation models, policy management approaches, and configuration standards.
  • Evaluate platform scalability, performance, resiliency, operational readiness, capacity requirements, and long-term sustainability for large-scale enterprise deployments.
  • Develop enrollment, provisioning, endpoint lifecycle management, and device management strategies that support onboarding, deployment, operations, refresh, replacement, and retirement processes.
  • Establish governance for endpoint configuration management, compliance policies, security baselines, update management, and audit readiness requirements.
  • Define enterprise application onboarding, packaging, testing, deployment, update, rollback, retirement, and operational support processes.
  • Develop testing and validation methodologies for platform changes, operating system releases, application deployments, integrations, and production readiness activities.
  • Define integration standards between Intune and identity, cybersecurity, observability, monitoring, IT service management, asset management, cloud, and enterprise management platforms.
  • Evaluate endpoint security capabilities, compliance monitoring, automated remediation, platform protection mechanisms, and operational response processes.
  • Establish enterprise update, release management, deployment ring, and change management strategies supporting platform stability and operational continuity.
  • Develop reporting, analytics, dashboard, and observability capabilities that provide operational oversight, executive visibility, compliance reporting, service health monitoring, and trend analysis.
  • Evaluate software licensing, subscription utilization, entitlement management, platform growth trends, and capacity requirements.
  • Assess platform limitations, emerging capabilities, technology alternatives, and implementation risks, and develop recommendations to support enterprise decision-making.
  • Develop technical standards, architecture diagrams, implementation guidance, operating procedures, decision records, and governance artifacts supporting enterprise adoption and operational sustainability.
