Job Title: Emergency Vehicle Upfit Technician

We are a 100% employee-owned organization based in Central MN, employing over 250 team members across the Midwest and Canada.

This position is located at our North Central St. Cloud location. St. Cloud, also known as the Granite City, is home to several parks and attractions highlighting our granite mining history. For example, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is a 683 acre preserve with 20 former granite quarries and is a great place to swim, scuba, fish, climb, or admire.

Position Description:
As an Emergency Vehicle Upfit Technician, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and installation of the lights, cameras, consoles, and safety equipment of public safety vehicles.

This position has a base hourly range of $28 - $34 per hour.
This position is eligible for our Tech Incentive bonus.

Essential Functions
  • Safety amp; Emergency Lighting: preparation and installation of warning lights, flashers, spotlights, and area lights
  • Storage Solutions: preparation and installation of consoles, storage systems, lockboxes, and equipment trays
  • Mounting Solutions: preparation and installation of safety equipment, computer mounts, and firearm mounts
  • Other duties: Keep work area and shop organized and assist with other tasks as assigned

Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Valid Class D Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous upfitting experience
