JOB SUMMARY: The Radiology Technologist performs competent and skilled diagnostic radiological studies, consistently producing the highest quality exams possible for physician review.
Essential Job Responsibilities with demonstrated competency:
• Possesses abilities to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team to provide safe care to the patient throughout his surgical experience.

• Possesses necessary knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body as well as the ability to recognize abnormal conditions.
• Performs radiology exams using good placement judgment in scanning, photographing and documenting anatomy & pathology.
• Demonstrates competency in handling radiographic equipment, correct exposure and location.
• Assists physician with invasive procedures requiring radiographic imaging.
• Possesses vocabulary of imaging techniques, association by recognition and understands functional applications.
• Retains advanced aptitude for technical knowledge and the functional use of equipment, and sophisticated supplies.
• Maintains the sterile field and acts appropriately with corrective action when sterility has been breached.

• Able to read and interpret technical written information or instructions and apply according to operate equipment safely.

Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accreditated school of Radiology Technology.
• Registry with ARRT (active)
• One year of Radiology Technologist experience preferred.
• Must be CPR certified within six (6) months of hire date and maintain certification
• Successful completion of Radiation Safety standardized test.
Language Ability:
Read, analyze, and interpret and reiterate information from equipment operators manuals, technical transcripts, procedure manuals. Recognize and use medical terminology. Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from physicians, peers, managers.
Math Ability:
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Calculate rate, ratio, and percentage.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and windows platforms.
