The field offers strong job growth prospects, especially for those with certification and experience in vascular or diagnostic imaging environments.

Who gets paid more, MRI or RAD tech?

Interventional Radiology Technologists and Radiologic Technologists (RAD techs) generally have similar salary ranges, but MRI technologists often earn higher wages due to specialized skills and equipment. Can you cross train into interventional radiology?

Interventional radiology technologists can often cross-train from related roles such as radiologic technologists or vascular technologists by gaining specialized training and certification in interventional procedures. Cross-training enhances skills in minimally invasive procedures, imaging modalities, and patient care specific to interventional radiology environments.
