Job description

Cath Lab Technologist

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for scrubbing and monitoring cardiac catheterization cases. The unit operates two labs with an average of 5-10 cases per day. Common diagnoses and types of patients include heart catheterizations, peripheral interventions, device placements, venous thromboembolism (VTE) management, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) with cardioversion. The job requires participation in on-call duties, averaging around 10 days per month. The ideal candidate will work alongside a team of coordinators during regular working hours, with additional roles as necessary when the unit is short-staffed. All clinicians must adhere to a protocol of clocking in and out at the facility. There is a zero tolerance policy for hits on licenses or background checks regardless of when they occurred. Candidates must have the ability to float within cardiovascular services, assisting in cardiac rehabilitation and stress lab functions.
