Interventional Radiology Technologist
Schedule
- Length of contract: 13 weeks
- On-call: Yes, up to 10 days per month when fully staffed, typically 2 days per week.
Assignment Details
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
Requirements
- Active Illinois x-ray license from IEMA
- ARRT certification in Radiology
- 3 years of technical experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams.
- Utilize PACS and EMR systems.
- Conduct interventional procedures per established protocols.
- Maintain appropriate IV and contrast competency.
- Follow established protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection.
- Communicate effectively with all involved in the patient care process.
Compliance / Notes
- Must be able to assist with general x-ray procedures when no interventional radiology procedures are being performed.
- Training may be provided for candidates with Cath Lab experience.
