Overview:
Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Full-time day shift Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab in Suffolk, Virginia!
Schedule: This is a Four 10-hour shift position from 730A to 530P Monday to Friday, rotating days off with Required call. No Weekends or Holidays.
Call: 1 week on a 4 week rotation. 7a to 7a Monday to Monday. one major and one minor holiday per year.
Sign on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates!
As a Registered Nurse your primary responsibilities include intra-procedural patient care/monitoring, moderate sedation, documentation, and circulating.
Experienced RNs can expect orientation between 12 and 15 weeks rotating through Pre/Post and Procedural areas.
About the Department:
Our department is a cohesive team of 15 skilled professionals, including RNs, RCIS, RTs, and CVIT staff, specializing in Cath, Angio, and IR vascular procedures. With a steady case volume of 10-12 per day, our experienced team works closely together in a supportive environment. Led by a manager recognized with the ACE award this unit is known for its high retention rate and supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in Cardiac Cath, ICU, CCU, or cardiac step-down units and thrive in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.
Education
  • Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure
  • Registered nursing License (Required)
  • ACLS required prior to completion of orientation
  • BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience
  • Preferred: 1-2 years Cath/EP Lab, Emergency Department or ICU experience. RN with cardiac step-down experience will be considered.
  • Critical care experience in hospital required
  • Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments
  • intra-procedural patient care/monitoring and moderate sedation
