The position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Norwalk, CT. • Conduct comprehensive and focused physical examinations and document patient medical histories to assess the physical and mental health of patients.
• Order, collect, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, enabling a precise evaluation of patient health issues and ensuring appropriate interventions.
• Prescribe medications and treatment protocols, emphasizing safety, efficacy, and patient-centered care, while remaining within established guidelines and policies.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Provide thorough counseling to patients and their families regarding health management, medication regimens, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications necessary to enhance health outcomes.
• Maintain detailed medical records documenting treatment plans and outcomes while ensuring timely referrals to specialists when complex health problems arise.
• Engage in consultation-level services related to cardiology, providing expertise to manage a range of cardiology-related cases.
• Work with patients in various healthcare settings beyond primary care to address the continuum of care required for managing cardiac conditions.
• Perform necessary invasive procedures within the scope of practice as established by supervising physicians.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being available for additional patient care responsibilities when department coverage is required.

This role will primarily focus on adult patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases and related health issues. You will have the opportunity to deal with a diverse clientele, each facing unique challenges that require a specialized approach to care, thereby making a significant impact on their health and quality of life. Your efforts will directly contribute to successful management of conditions like hypertension, coronary artery disease, and heart failure, as well as prevention strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA certification and active state licensure to practice.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a cardiology or surgical setting.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are required to excel in this role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Previous experience working in a cardiology setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care effectively.

The salary range for this position is competitive and is set between USD 140,000 and USD 180,000 annually, based on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
