Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Surprise, Arizona
Interstate Assembly Systems is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Surprise, Arizona location. We are offering highly competitive wages!
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our facility. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, and promptly addressing any repair needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Position Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have 4 years minimum of mechanical maintenance on equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fabrication
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems 480 volt and down.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing 2๏ฟฝ5-ton overhead Kone bridge cranes
  • Knowledge of Programable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Strong Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)
  • Knowledge of Rigging and Rigging safety

Maintenance Technician Desired Skills and Qualities:
  • Certification or training in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Self-Starter
  • Knowledge of CMMS

Maintenance Technician Job Duties:
  • Responsible for performing monthly inspections and testing of all fire extinguishers and eye wash equipment.
  • Responsible for identifying and correcting minor repairs, upkeep, and overall functions of the equipment in the facility.
  • Complete the schedule of monthly inspections and preventative maintenance on overhead doors, overhead cranes, building mechanical equipment, and company issued equipment.
  • Perform preventative and reactive corrective repairs on production equipment.
  • Repair and maintain forklifts.
  • Repair and maintain sandblast equipment (blast pot, valves, dust collectors)
  • Upkeep and repairs on compressor and air system
  • Weld and machine parts for repairs if replacement parts are not ratably available.
