Job description

Enhance patient care by supporting pivotal surgical procedures.
Join Our Team at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center
At Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC), we're more than just a healthcare organization - we're a community dedicated to making a meaningful impact. For more than 60 years, we've been providing compassionate, high-quality care in the Greater Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and putting people first - both our patients and our employees. Whether you're on the front lines of patient care or supporting operations behind the scenes, you'll find a culture of collaboration, growth, and respect. If you're looking for a career where your work truly matters, we invite you to join us at CRMC and be part of something bigger.
A Day in the Life of a Surgical Technologist
As a Surgical Technologist, you'll be essential in preparing and managing the sterile environment within the surgical suite, adhering to AORN and AST guidelines. Responsibilities include assisting with patient preparation, from transport to surgical draping, all under the guidance of a Perioperative RN. During surgeries, you are vital in providing necessary instruments and supplies directly to surgeons, anticipating their needs to maintain efficiency and safety. This role also involves post-surgical tasks such as room turnover, instrument decontamination, and restocking. You'll work collaboratively with surgeons, physician assistants, and nurses, contributing to a seamless operative process and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
About the Operating Room Department
Precision, Teamwork, Surgical Excellence
Surgery is never a solo act-it takes expert collaboration between surgeons, anesthesia, nurses, surgical techs, and support staff to ensure procedures run smoothly. The OR is a place where focus, skill, and cutting-edge technology intersect, creating an environment where every detail matters. From the moment a patient is prepped to the final suture, our team is committed to safety, efficiency, and excellence. Whether it's a fast-paced trauma case or a highly specialized procedure, we rely on trust and expertise to deliver top-tier care. Clear communication and a steady mindset are key to keeping procedures running smoothly in high-intensity moments. In a rural setting, we adapt quickly, think critically, and perform a wide variety of procedures, making every day an opportunity to learn, grow, and refine our craft. Join us in the Operating Room at CRMC.
