Job Title: Accounting Manager

Salary: $75,000 annually

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience (credit union/financial institution preferred)
2+ years of supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Experience with wire transfers, payment systems, and fraud mitigation preferred
Familiarity with credit union regulations and Call Report preparation preferred
Advanced Excel and accounting system experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager leads accounting and wire transfer operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and secure processing of domestic and international wire transfers.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Reporting
Supervise accounting staff and oversee daily accounting operations
Manage general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Ensure accuracy of Call Reports and regulatory filings
Maintain internal controls and support audits
Prepare reports for senior management and improve accounting processes
Wire Operations
Supervise domestic and international wire transfer activities
Ensure compliance with OFAC, BSA/AML, and fraud prevention requirements
Review high-value or complex wire transactions
Partner with operations/compliance teams for risk mitigation
