Veterinary Technician | Internal Medicine | 1st shift | 8am-6:30PM, four days per week | $19-26 /hr Depending On Experience | Full-Time Benefits | Monroeville, PA
Schedule and Compensation:
  • Full-time (part time hours may also be available)
  • 8am-630PM, four days per week
  • $19-26/hr depending on credentials and experience

Qualifications:
  • Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred, but not required
  • Foundational veterinary knowledge, including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
  • Bring experience in veterinary medicine, ideally including specialty or advanced care settings.
  • Experience with I-131 therapy, endoscopy, anesthesia monitoring, and appointment coordination is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with veterinary medical terminology, including conditions such as infectious, immune-mediated, and inflammatory diseases.
  • Remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting with clients in a way that reflects Avets' commitment to advanced medical care and compassionate support for pets and their families.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a productive, positive, and respectful workplace.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
  • All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (10 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
  • Certified Veterinary Technicians or license eligible candidates will be given the highest consideration.
