Job description

Job Summary:ย Work encompasses all aspects of project management and engineering of utility projects, including but not limited to water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure. ย 

Your Responsibilities as an Engineer:

  • Assistย project managers with a variety of utility projects, including supporting client communication, tracking project schedules, andย assistingย with budget management.ย 
  • Coordinate with CAD designers and collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and external agencies.ย 
  • Support permit preparation by assisting permit technicians with applications and helping track permit review progress.ย 
  • Participate in construction observations,ย assistย with field documentation, andย observeย critical construction activities under supervision.ย 
  • Communicate and coordinate with construction managers, contractors, owners, inspectors, andย permittingย agencies as part of the project team.ย 
  • Prepare technical documentation such as reports, letters, project summaries, and professional correspondence.ย 
  • Gain exposure to water and wastewater pipeline design, pump stations, hydraulic modeling, and/or treatment plant projects.ย 
  • Work in both office and field environments as project needs require.ย 

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineeringย (or related field)ย 
  • EngineerinTraining (EIT) certification desired.ย 
  • Relevant internships in civil or utility engineeringย desired.ย 
  • Familiarity with projects in Southwest Florida is aย plus, butย notย required.ย 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook knowledge.ย 
  • Ability and willingness to interact professionally with clients and regulatory agencies under guidance.ย 
  • Must have an excellent driving record and have a valid Florida driver's license as driving is an essential part of the position.ย
