Exciting Opportunity Outside Sales Representative Roles for a Leading Client in the Diesel Engine and Power Generation Industry (Positions located in NE and Midwest US)
I'm currently sourcing for a dynamic and motivated Outside Sales Representative to join one of my top clients. They are a well-established leader specializing in the overhaul, repair, maintenance, and testing of diesel engines, turbochargers, and filtration equipment. With a strong reputation as an authorized distributor and service center for world-renowned manufacturers, offers extensive service and inventory support, backed by ISO 9001:2015 certification.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving growth and achieving revenue objectives within the industrial and power generation markets. This role focuses on regional sales activity for Engineered Systems, Products, and Services. You will develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, engaging with new and existing clients, and delivering tailored solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and close business opportunities in the marine and power generation sectors.
- Expand and engage with the client base through early positioning and consultative selling.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market-specific solutions and customer requirements.
- Evaluate inquiries, register opportunities, and maintain accurate records.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and identify new sales leads.
- Deliver impactful sales presentations, including technical demonstrations.
- Stay up-to-date with company activities, industry trends, and relevant regulations.
- Create and execute sales and service plans to ensure order and revenue growth.
- Participate in industry trade shows and conferences to represent the company.
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and addressing feedback.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in the marine and/or power generation markets.
- Background in controls, automation, or related industries; experience with Woodward products is advantageous.

- Willingness to travel domestically up to 50-60%.
- Fluency in English, with additional language skills being a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Alternatively, 10 years of relevant experience in outside sales and application engineering can be considered in lieu of a degree.
