Distribution Specialist

Geneva, OH

Truckmen Corp. is currently searching for a full-time Distribution Specialist to be responsible for customer service, fleet dispatch, and data entry for the Truckmen Fleet and select warehouse customers.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 7:30am-4:00pm

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or high school equivalency certificate
  • Minimum one year of data entry experience
  • Customer service experience is highly preferred; logistics experience is a plus!
  • Ability to interact clearly and effectively in both written and oral communication with customers, supervisors and staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; data entry skills required

Responsibilities:

  • Plan the daily fleet schedule in coordination with the ASM based on customer needs and communicates that information to the assigned driver
  • Verify drivers’ hours of service to ensure on-time delivery is possible using the Geotab system
  • Dispatch drivers and ensure that drivers have the correct information to get their loads picked up and delivered on time
  • Determine response requirements for situations such as delays, changes to loads, and record information accurately relative to the situation
  • Responsible for data entry of loads and dispatching in TMS PowerPro
  • Handle phone, email, and text communication with customers and drivers in a professional manner
  • Relay pertinent information and messages to all other individuals or groups requiring updates
  • Ensure drivers turn in required paperwork, such as bills of lading and daily logs, if applicable
  • Attend morning meetings with warehouse and inventory control workers to review daily activities
  • Respond to customer questions, requests, and scheduling needs via email and/or phone calls
  • Enter data into Excel and/or inventory software program
  • Track shipping and delivery information in logistics software program
  • Communicate and coordinate with warehouse staff regarding shipment deliveries, pick-ups, and other related matters
  • Maintain accurate information in the inventory software program and other reporting systems
  • Type letters or other communications when needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
