  • Adhering to and encompassing the qualities and characteristics required of Community Church employees as defined in the Staff Handbook.

2. Strategic Leadership and Ministry Oversight

The Director of Adult Discipleship provides church-wide leadership, vision, strategy, and direction for our discipleship pathway in alignment with the overall mission and vision set by the Lead Pastor. This role helps shape a unified groups and discipleship culture that reflects the mission of Community Church.

  • Develop, evaluate and champion the strategy of Adult Discipleship, ensuring consistency and quality across all Community Church campuses.
  • Develop ministry standards, calendar, and best practices that align with and support the overall ministry strategy.
  • Equip and support campus ministry coordinators through regular communication, feedback, and coaching, in conjunction with the coordinator's Campus Pastor.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous growth and improvement.

3. Core Competencies

The Director of Adult Discipleship demonstrates a high level of skill, commitment, and effectiveness in their ministry area. This role sets the standard for excellence in Adult Discipleship across all campuses while equipping others to grow in their competencies.

  • Strong passion for seeing the church grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Offer insights and problem-solving support for campus Coordinators in partnership with campus pastors.
  • Coordinate group offerings, mid-week programming, events, and disciple making activity across all campuses.
  • May provide direct supervision of campus coordinators, assistant directors, or interns as assigned.

4. Leader Recruitment and Development

  • Support the leadership growth of coordinators/campus staff in partnership with campus pastors.
  • Develop a leadership pipeline for recruiting, onboarding, and training volunteers in alignment with Community Church standards.
  • Foster a culture that values spiritual growth, relational health, and competency development.

5. Ministry Administration
