Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and innovative Social Media Intern to join our Marketing team. This internship provides hands-on experience in multiple aspects of working in social media such as content creation, social media reporting, and influencer relations. As a Social Media Intern, you will assist the Social Media Marketer in developing and executing social media campaigns, while also getting to know the Godzilla and TOHO animation brands.
What you'll do:
  • Pitch new ideas on a weekly basis based on brand priorities, trends, and cultural moments
  • Film and edit short-form videos for Godzilla and TOHO animation STORE US channels
  • Assist with creating captions for social posts
  • Perform editing tasks as needed for short-form videos (ie adding on-screen captions, adding music)
  • Assist with publishing content directly to our social platforms (ie Instagram Stories, X polls, IG polls)
  • Assist in scheduling posts using social media management tools like Hootsuite
  • Support the team in maintaining and keeping the social media calendar updated
  • Assist in compiling weekly and monthly social media performance reports
  • Pull social media analytics at the completion of campaigns
  • Provide biweekly social listening reports on trending topics related to Godzilla and TOHO animation shows
  • Find and source influencer partners that fit the brands
  • Assist in day-to-day communications with influencer partners
  • Partner with other members of the team to assist with reporting and other tasks as needed
  • Support the marketing team with on-site duties at events as needed

What you'll bring:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Basic understanding of social media strategy and content creation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with tools like Canva, CapCut, or in-app editing tools is a plus
