Position Overview

Bear Lake PT Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Winchester, Virginia. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, contingent on experience and qualifications. As a key member of our facility, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier physical therapy services to help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and regain function.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients suffering from functional limitations and disabilities.
  • Devise personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, considering age, cultural background, and specific health conditions.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families about rehabilitation strategies and expected outcomes.
  • Implement various therapeutic interventionsโ€”this may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately in line with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Take part in community outreach initiatives and continuous quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery.
  • Mentor support staff, including physical therapy assistants and interns, to foster career development across the team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, ranging from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults managing conditions such as arthritis. Our clinic serves a varied demographic, making it essential to be culturally competent and responsive to the individual needs of each patient. Your role will significantly impact their rehabilitation journey and quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • A commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with previous experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or related clinical settings will be highly valued. Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or modalities will enhance your candidacy.
