Job description

About the position

Wirecutter is seeking an editorial intern to embed with our Marketing team.

As an intern, you will report directly to the team's Director. This role is based out of our office and test facility in Long Island City, New York.

About Our Summer Internships: 

  • The duration is 10 weeks long, starting on June 1, 2026.
  • The rate of pay for this role is $20.00 per hour. 
  • Interns work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Work with  our team to building an Audience Growth program
  • Support our goal of converting first-time customers into repeat purchasers
  • Assist with email management 
  • Contribute research, reporting, and writing 
  • Pitch ideas within our team and to related teams when applicable. 
  • Helping to administer tests 

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ months of Journalistic experience or training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for product research and testing methods.
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent organizational skills; strong ability to collaborate within a busy team in a dynamic setting.
  • Self-organized and motivated, with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently when necessary, with minimal oversight.  
  • Interest in video, social media, and visual storytelling is a plus.  
  • Ability to work on deadline on multiple projects.
  • General enthusiasm for the beats our team covers.
  • Strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
