About the Role

Ready to dive into the world of smart tech and help build the future of IoT? As a Technical Support Engineering Intern, you won't be grabbing coffee or shadowing others. Our interns are at the forefront of our team, tackling real-world challenges alongside our full-time engineers. Based at our San Mateo HQ, you'll work with cutting-edge, cloud-managed IoT technology, helping our enterprise clients with everything from troubleshooting to system design.

What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot and Innovate: Solve complex network, hardware, and software issues for the Verkada platform
  • Be an Expert: Provide customers with best practices for system design and integration
  • Communicate with Impact: Clearly explain technical concepts to customers both verbally and in writing
  • Own the Problem: Take charge of customer issues from start to finish, ensuring a successful resolution
  • Team Up: Collaborate with our Engineering and Product teams to test new products and identify bugs
  • Share Knowledge: Create content for our Knowledge Base to help others
  • Hands-on Projects: Get involved with lab testing and various team projects
What You Bring
  • Available for a full-time (40 hours per week) in-person internship for Fall 2026 in San Mateo, CA
  • A third or fourth-year student in a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited university, with a focus on a related technical field like Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity
  • You have coursework experience with computer networking, Linux, and computer systems
  • You're a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail
  • You can clearly and confidently communicate complex technical information
  • You thrive in a team environment
  • Industry certifications (like CCNP, CCNA, or Network+) are a bonus, but not required!
