Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations by reviewing medical history, performing physical assessments, and synthesizing findings into actionable treatment plans.
  • Communicate evaluation outcomes and proposed treatment strategies effectively to patients and their families, facilitating shared decision-making in setting achievable rehabilitation goals.
  • Implement personalized treatment protocols based on clinical findings and the evolving healthcare landscape, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and changes in their condition, including documentation of any modifications.
  • Manage discharge planning efficiently, ensuring patients and caregivers understand follow-up care instructions and resources for continued progress after leaving the facility.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing records, illustrating the continuum of patient care through clear encounter notes and progress evaluations.
  • Exhibit strong time management skills to meet department productivity requirements while maintaining a flexible and punctual schedule.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives and marketing efforts to promote rehabilitation services and foster stronger ties with the Clearwater community.
  • Contribute to departmental goals and compliance by participating in quality assurance activities and continuing education programs specifically tailored for enhancing clinical skills.
  • Act as a mentor and clinical instructor for students, guiding the next generation of physical therapists through hands-on experiences and streamlined learning opportunities.
  • Enhance customer experiences by adopting a compassionate approach to care, actively addressing any barriers that affect patient access to treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Fairview Rehabilitation Center, you will care for a wide range of patients experiencing orthopedic issues, including post-operative recovery from surgeries such as joint replacements, sports injuries, and rehabilitation from trauma. Your commitment to patient-centered care will be evident in your tailored approaches to aid in their recovery, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
  • A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
Preferred Experience
  • While prior work experience is not required, candidates with clinical internships or volunteer experiences in orthopedic settings will be favored.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, patient management software, and documentation practices in rehabilitation settings is a plus.
