Outstanding Opportunities
An Army neurologist is a medical officer in the U.S. Army who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing neurological disorders in Soldiers and other military personnel. Your performance will include a specific focus on the unique health challenges that military members may face due to the nature of their work, training, and combat experiences. As an Army medical officer, you may work in the clinical Neurophysiology laboratory and interpret studies, train other personnel and medical school faculty, and brief cases involving complex neurological conditions. You will have opportunities for continued education programs that will prepare you for your role as a military officer and healthcare professional. You may also participate in seminars and conferences with other Neurologists to learn about advancements in technology and treatments, and brainstorm ideas for the betterment of your patients and the Army as a whole.
If you choose to join in the Army Reserve, you will be able to serve your country as needed while still supporting your community.

Eligibility Requirements
★ Must be a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
★ Foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
★ Must have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
★ Must be eligible for board certification
★ Must have completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
★ Must have completed a training program in neurology
★ Must be a U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty
★ Must have a permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
