This position sits at the intersection of data, operations, and clinical workflows in a regulated home care environment. The BI Analyst partners with business stakeholders to define metrics and reporting requirements, ensures data accuracy and consistency across integrated systems, and delivers trusted, well-documented dashboards that support day-to-day operations, compliance monitoring, and strategic decision-making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards directly within source EHR and operational platforms' native reporting modules, serving clinical, operational, billing, and administrative teams
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations in Google Looker and Looker Studio, including semantic modeling (LookML), explores, and scheduled report delivery
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements, KPI definitions, and success metrics; translate business questions into clear, build-ready analytics specifications
  • Establish and maintain a metrics dictionary and reporting documentation to ensure consistent definitions across teams and systems
  • Validate data accuracy and reconcile discrepancies between source EHR systems, integrated platforms, and downstream reporting; investigate and resolve data quality issues with engineering and vendor partners
  • Support recurring operational, financial, and regulatory reporting cycles, including census, authorizations, visit utilization, scheduling and staffing, billing, and quality metrics
  • Monitor dashboard performance, usage, and adoption; iterate on design and layout to improve usability and self-service analytics across the organization
  • Coordinate with external vendors and third-party partners on report specifications, data extracts, and integration-related reporting needs
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of reporting outputs following system updates, integrations, and configuration changes
  • Support adherence to HIPAA requirements, minimum-necessary data access principles, data governance standards, and internal compliance controls in all reporting and analytics activities

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience building dashboards and reports required (professional, internship, or substantial academic/project work); experience in healthcare, home care, or another regulated environment preferred
  • Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards within EHR or clinical/operational platform reporting tools
  • Experience with Google Looker and/or Looker Studio preferred; LookML exposure a plus; experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) also considered
  • Proficiency in SQL for data exploration, validation, and report development
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high standard for data accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate data findings for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with healthcare data concepts (e.g., census, authorizations, visit/claims data, payer requirements) preferred
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ClickUp or similar platforms preferred

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Analytics professional who enjoys working close to the source data and understands that trustworthy dashboards start with well-understood source systems
  • Curious about how clinical and operational workflows generate data - and how that data can drive better decisions
  • Comfortable working across technical and business teams, from clinicians and schedulers to engineers and executives
  • Comfortable navigating the complexity of a growing healthcare organization - able to manage competing priorities, adapt to evolving workflows, and bring structure where there is ambiguity
