Join Our Team as the Senior GIS Analyst
The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking an experienced Senior GIS Analyst to plan, coordinate, and develop projects by utilizing and supporting Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology within the organization. This position will also serve as technical lead for web-based GIS products for Town staff and the general public.
What You Will Do
  • Provides GIS development and analysis support to all Town departments;
  • Evaluates, determines, and produces advanced GIS services and products;
  • Provides advanced configuration, implementation and system administration services for the Town’s enterprise work management, asset management, and community systems;
  • Installs, manages, upgrades, and maintains applicable software in support of enterprise systems;
  • Creates, manages, optimizes, and publishes ArcGIS Server REST services for applications, maps, geocoding, geometry, and geoprocessing;
  • Enables Town staff to solve problems and make informed decisions through the use of GIS;
  • Develops internal and external web GIS products;
  • Provides training to individual users in GIS applications, interfaces, and techniques, and develops manuals and other instructional materials;
  • Performs advanced spatial and database analyses, and writes reports on data from multiple Town databases;
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • GISP preferred
