Job Description
The successful candidate will help the customer transition to acquisitions leveraging Agile principles and SAFe methodologies. The candidate will develop Agile evolution guidance and training for a large organization and incorporate Agile processes into the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP). The candidate may also serve in a Product Owner capacity maintaining capability roadmaps traced to epics, solutions/portfolios and features necessary to prioritize developer backlogs in alignment with capability deliveries. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise and agile best practices to teams coordinating CONOPS and architecture products, decomposing system requirements into Mission Capability Statements (MCSs), translating MCSs into solution epics and features, assessing system and developer program schedule and risks, leading readiness and release planning events in support of system and acquisition-level ground milestones, and supporting agile test and DevOps verification strategies and integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded GEOINT, SIGINT and Multi-INT mission capabilities.
The candidate will have the aptitude to assess and define Agile and SE processes and continuously create efficiencies, and may lead projects and teams as a Solution Train Engineer for evolving systems, have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various ground offices. The candidate will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors, and will need to follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle.
Candidate will interact with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) and facilitate risk and action closure with Acquisition Offices and users, and support technical consultation, meeting coordination, and support to recommendation briefings.
Qualifications
  • Must posses and be able to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD
  • Knowledge of, and experience executing, SAFe Agile methodology
  • More than 4 years' experience leading Agile initiatives for systems engineering processes Integration and closure experience within overall customer domain
  • Expertise in establishing technical mission capability statements and solution/program epics
  • Experience creating and maintaining capability roadmaps and schedules traced to Agile Epics and Program Increments
  • Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives
  • Experience as an Agile product owner prioritizing developer backlogs in alignment with capability deliveries
  • Knowledge of customer's mission capabilities (to include GEOINT, SIGINT or Multi-INT domains) and overall space and ground architecture
  • Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority
