We are looking for a Software Engineer I with embedded development experience to join our Space and RF Sensors team at Raytheon in Fort Wayne IN. * Implement, test, and debug software solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
* Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
* Participate in code reviews, testing procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and development processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
* Document software designs, test results, and troubleshooting processes for future reference Qualifications You Must Have * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.
* Understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Qualifications We Prefer * Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies.
* Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance
* Familiarity with real-time embedded systems or aerospace/defense applications.
* Experience with version control tools such as Git.
* Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
* Exposure to cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
* Experience with software testing and debugging tools.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
