Job description

Overview

Lutron is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Intern to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-impact projects. In this role, you will help design and deliver embedded software driven solutions that power smart lighting and shading systems. We consider interns to be very valuable in our search for exceptional future members of our team and pride ourselves in providing outstanding work experience to students from a wide variety of universities and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Your internship at Lutron could offer you the opportunity to work on:

  • Writing embedded software for Linux based processors

  • Code reviews and technical discussions

  • Software debugging, testing and tracing

  • You are a rising junior, rising senior, or master's student at the start of the internship

  • You have broad interests in engineering, design and development

  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

  • Willing and available to work on-site 5 days per week

Lutron is a team-oriented environment, and you will work within these teams to look at broad issues and identify root causes, not just quick fixes. You must have a willingness to ask tough questions, seek out new resources and work hard to find the best solution.
