Entertainment Partners (EP) is seeking an Junior Full Stack Engineer to join our technology organization as part of our commitment to growing the next generation of full stack engineering talent. This role is designed for early-career engineers who are strong in their fundamentals, eager to learn, and excited about building AI-powered products that serve the global entertainment industry. The Associate Software Engineer will work on defined feature tickets, grow their technical craft through hands-on delivery, paired code reviews, and mentorship from senior engineers, and contribute to a team that moves fast without sacrificing quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the following, other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Feature Development
  • Implement well-scoped feature tickets across the frontend (React.js/TypeScript) and backend (Python/FastAPI) stack.
  • Build UI components using React.js following established design system and component library conventions.
  • Write backend logic and REST API endpoints in Python/FastAPI under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Connect frontend and backend layers; understand how data flows through EP's application architecture.
  • Follow existing code patterns, style guides, and engineering standards.
  • Quality & Learning
  • Write unit tests for your code; learn integration testing practices with support from senior teammates.
  • Participate in code reviews - both receiving feedback on your own PRs and reviewing others' work as skill grows.
  • Ask questions early and often; communicate blockers promptly to your Engineering Manager or tech lead.
  • Actively participate in sprint ceremonies: standups, planning, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Use EP's AI coding tools (Tabnine, Claude Code) to accelerate development and learn engineering patterns.

Growth & Contribution
  • Take ownership of your personal development plan in partnership with your Engineering Manager.
  • Engage with EP's internal learning resources, architecture brown bags, and code pairing sessions.
  • Contribute ideas for improving the team's tooling, documentation, or engineering processes.
  • Build familiarity with EP's AI product portfolio and the LLM integration patterns used across the stack.

JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent bootcamp/self-taught experience with demonstrated projects.
  • 0-3 years of professional or internship software engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; ability to read and contribute to code in both.
  • Basic familiarity with React.js; understanding of components, props, and state.
  • Understanding of REST APIs - what they are, how to consume them, and how to think about designing them.
  • Experience with Git - branching, committing, opening PRs, and resolving conflicts.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries and understand relational database concepts.
  • Strong curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to receive and apply feedback constructively.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Academic or personal project experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django on the backend.
  • Experience building UI projects with React.js (class projects, hackathons, or personal portfolio work).
  • Exposure to any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) through coursework or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience calling an LLM API in a project context.
  • Experience working in any Agile team environment - coursework, internship, or extracurricular.
  • Hybrid work environment - Burbank, CA headquarters with structured in-office days for onboarding and collaboration.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time at a computer workstation.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Availability during standard business hours with flexibility for team ceremonies and occasional production support.

The salary range for this position in $70,000 to $95,000 and will be commensurate with experience related to the position.
