Job description

Job Summary

Location: Tucson, AZ (1151EHermansRd,BLDG801). Position: On-site software engineer in the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) team, part of the Hardware Discipline Center at Raytheon.

Security Clearance: Active Secret DoD clearance required before start (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications in C#, C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows Operating System.
  • Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently.
  • Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
  • Develop and derive requirements for software products.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary engineering teams and support all phases of the product lifecycle, from early engineering tests to production and post-production sustainment.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships).
  • Experience developing software in C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
  • Experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools and troubleshooting software implementation.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP or UDP and common hardware interfaces.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile).
  • Knowledge of Software Configuration Management principles.
  • Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
