Product Manager - Residential Automation and Motorization (SWF)
Job Summary

The Product Manager is the business owner of an automation and motorization portfolio, accountable for driving profitable growth, market differentiation, and customer value across the full product lifecycle.
This role operates as the general manager of the product line, translating market needs and strategic priorities into executable plans, while aligning internal teams and external to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Product Business (P&L Mindset)
    • Manage the portfolio to deliver revenue, margin, EBITDA, attachment rate, and lifecycle profitability target
    • Build and manage business cases while driving cost optimization
  • Define Customer-Centric Strategy
    • Own segmentation, value propositions, and positioning within the market segment under their responsibility
    • Lead VOC efforts and continuously refine positioning across dealer, end-user, and partner needs
  • Lead Portfolio & Roadmap Strategy
    • Build and manage a multi-year roadmap spanning platform evolution (motors, controls, firmware) and connectivity (Zigbee, Matter, BLE, PoE and future protocols)
    • Prioritize trade-offs across innovation vs. cost and platform standardization vs. differentiation
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution
    • Lead execution across Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Marketing with clear ownership, timelines, and success criteria
    • Act as the central integrator to align stakeholders and drive decisions across competing priorities
  • Lifecycle & Post-Launch Performance Management
    • Manage products across the full lifecycle, including performance tracking, improvement actions, and lifecycle decisions
    • Ensure continuity between launch and sustained success-avoiding "launch-and-leave" execution gaps
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Use product, financial, and customer data to prioritize investments and guide roadmap decisions
    • Integrate quantitative insights with market understanding to drive clear, defensible decisions

Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Marketing, Engineering, Economics, or other business-related fields.
  • 3+ years Product management experience with a consumer products company is required.
  • Experience working with connected (Smart Home) products is highly desired.
  • Experience with the marketing and the sale of custom window products preferred, or comparative experience in similar/adjacent industry.
  • Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a product management role with products that are custom made based on the needs of each customer.
