About this Position
This position is Grant Funded
The position is a one year, grant funded position, with the option of extension of contract, at OSU- College of Health Sciences within our Psychiatry Department. There are two primary roles for the position as the Integrated Care Behavioral Health Care Manager within our Collaborative Care program and in providing outpatient psychotherapy services within our Psychology and Testing Clinic.
The integrated portion of this position is to support the development and implementation of our integrated care programming, specifically the implementation of Collaborative Care programs throughout our OSU Medicine clinics. Collaborative Care is a team-based, population-based approach to care that works to coordinate services of care managers, primary care providers, and psychiatry consultation. The fellow will be a key member implementing the program in our Family Medicine, Pediatric, and Addiction Medicine services.
The role in the outpatient clinic is to provide psychotherapy services to patients referred from a variety of sources, including psychiatry, addiction medicine, pain management, and pediatrics. The position would serve within our robust system to support the patient needs for ongoing psychotherapy and counseling services.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's
    • Master of Social Work (MSW or LCSW) equivalent licensure.
    • Doctoral degree and internship (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology
    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent licensure.
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers and mental health professionals.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments for common mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Facilitate patient engagement and ensure timely follow-up care.
  • Educate patients on mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and treatment options.
  • Monitor treatment response and clinical symptoms through in-person or telephone follow-ups.
  • Support medication management by monitoring adherence, side effects, and treatment effectiveness.
  • Deliver brief, evidence-based behavioral interventions (e.g., behavioral activation, motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment).
  • Participate in weekly case consultations with psychiatric, psychological, and family medicine consultants.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Track patient outcomes using a registry and re-engage patients as needed.
