From theme development to complex ERP and OMS workflows, our engineers bring deep expertise in Shopify, modern frameworks, and commerce infrastructure to help clients launch, scale, and optimize their digital retail experiences.

Job Summary

Lazer is seeking Technical Lead to lead the development of Shopify projects, crafting seamless user experiences and robust back-end solutions. As a Technical Lead on this team, you will support Lazerโ€™s engineers in building products across our entire portfolio of clients and across every part of the Shopify stack (online, POS, etc.). You will work closely with key client stakeholders, lead 2โ€‘3 projects, and have tremendous impact in supporting the engineers on the team to make sure execution is solid. You will also be a part of the strongest Shopifyโ€‘focused engineering team in the market, and work closely with likeโ€‘minded engineers who help each other continuously grow.

The Role
  • Lead 2โ€‘3 large commerce projects and work with the engineers on the team to ensure delivery excellence
  • Lead large commerce implementations from one commerce platform onto Shopify (e.g. BigCommerce, Salesforce, Magento, WooCommerce migrations)
  • Lead ERP integrations (e.g. Netsuite), including familiarity with iPaaS solutions for such integrations
  • Lead CMS integrations (e.g. Sanity, Contentful, etc)
  • Understanding of the different components of the Shopify ecosystem (e.g. markets, checkout extensibility, functions, analytics, mobile, testing, etc)
  • Deep background in software and system architecture
  • Oversee headless frontโ€‘end development (e.g. React, Hydrogen, Next.js, Remix)
  • Oversee backโ€‘end development (e.g. Node.js, Python, Go or Ruby preferred)
  • Knowledge of Liquid/theme development
  • Lead OMS/WMS/IMS integrations (e.g. Manhattan)
  • Shopify app store development (building and launching apps privately for merchants or publicly on the Shopify App Store)
  • Subscriptions (e.g. Recharge, Ordergroove, Upscribe, or Shopifyโ€™s native subscriptions API)
  • Ensure flawless integration of thirdโ€‘party apps, APIs, and customizations
