Job description

Product Designer

Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)

About The Role

LodgeLink is looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of LodgeLink's web and mobile platforms.

This is a senior individual contributor role with design leadership and mentorship expectations. You will be responsible for designing customer-centered, scalable, and consistent product experiences across LodgeLink's digital ecosystem. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to understand complex workforce travel needs and translate them into elegant, practical, and high-impact product solutions.

The ideal candidate is not just a strong visual designer. They are a product-minded designer who works from customer problems, uses research and data to inform decisions, applies strong interaction and design system discipline, and follows through from discovery to delivery.

The Senior Product Designer will bring clarity to ambiguous problems, influence product direction, mentor other members of the design team, improve experience quality, and help raise the maturity of design practices across the organization.

This role is in Scottsdale and is in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end user experience for assigned product areas across LodgeLink's web and mobile platforms, from discovery through delivery and post-launch optimization.
  • Work from customer, operator, supplier, and business problems to frame opportunities, define experience principles, and design scalable product solutions.
  • Design for complex, multi-stakeholder workflows involving customers, travelers, coordinators, suppliers, internal operators, and financial processes.
  • Conduct and synthesize user research, stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, usability testing, and customer feedback to inform design direction.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Customer Success, Operations, Commercial, and Marketing to shape product strategy, prioritize opportunities, and make informed tradeoff decisions.
  • Provide design leadership within cross-functional product teams by bringing customer evidence, design judgment, and clear recommendations into product and engineering discussions.
  • Create journey maps, service flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction models, high-fidelity designs, and design specifications that clearly communicate intended experiences.
  • Apply, maintain, and evolve design system components, UI patterns, accessibility standards, and interaction guidelines across web and mobile experiences.
  • Identify where existing patterns should be reused, where new patterns are needed, and where inconsistency is creating customer or operational friction.
  • Validate concepts quickly through prototypes, usability testing, data, and stakeholder feedback; iterate based on evidence.
  • Support engineering delivery through clear documentation, design collaboration, design QA, and timely follow-through on open questions and implementation issues.
  • Identify usability gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and operational friction across the platform and recommend practical improvements.
  • Help create efficiencies through reusable design patterns, standardized UI frameworks, and thoughtful design system governance.
  • Mentor and support other designers by providing thoughtful design critique, sharing best practices, helping improve craft quality, and modeling strong discovery, design system, documentation, and delivery practices.
  • Contribute to a stronger design culture through critique, pattern discipline, research practices, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Communicate design decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to peers, stakeholders, and leaders.
  • Other duties as required.
What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means you are helping LodgeLink build better product experiences, not just better screens. You will be expected to:

  • Deeply understand our customers, users, internal teams, suppliers, and the operational complexity of workforce travel.
  • Translate customer and business problems into clear, usable, and scalable product experiences.
  • Improve consistency across our web and mobile platforms through strong design system and pattern discipline.
  • Partner effectively with Product and Engineering to move from discovery to delivery with clarity and accountability.
  • Use research, data, usability feedback, customer insights, and product outcomes to continuously improve the experience.
  • Help elevate the quality, consistency, and maturity of design across the team through mentorship, critique, reusable patterns, and clear design standards.
  • Communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and help cross-functional teams make better product decisions.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of product design, UX design, or equivalent digital design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, marketplace, travel, logistics, fintech, operations, or complex workflow environments.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including problem framing, research insights, design exploration, interaction design, visual design, validation, and measurable outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma, FigJam, or equivalent modern design and prototyping tools.
  • Experience designing responsive web and mobile experiences, complex workflows, dashboards, forms, booking flows, account management, or enterprise tools.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design, service design, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, accessibility, and usability testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work from ambiguous problems, synthesize input from multiple stakeholders, and turn insights into clear design direction.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems, reusable components, pattern libraries, and UI standards.
  • Strong systems-thinking skills, with the ability to design cohesive end-to-end experiences rather than isolated screens or one-off solutions
  • Strong product and engineering partnership skills, including the ability to communicate tradeoffs, document decisions, and support delivery through release.
  • Experience mentoring designers, facilitating design critique, and helping improve design quality, consistency, and team practices.
  • Comfortable working in agile product development environments with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and product analytics platforms.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills with the ability to influence peers, stakeholders, and leaders.
  • A bias for action, strong follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
