Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC machines and use existing programs to produce tools and parts that meet dimensional requirements. The ideal candidate will bring several years of CNC operating experience, some exposure to CNC programming, and a self-starting approach, as this role may occasionally work under indirect supervision.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Perform wet layup and apply composite materials to molds with accuracy and consistency
  • Prepare molds by cleaning, sealing, and applying the appropriate release agents
  • Laminate and vacuum bag composite parts according to engineering specifications and quality standards
  • Support secondary bonding, potting, curing, and other composite manufacturing processes
  • Safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, and standard fabrication equipment
  • Read and follow travelers, build manuals, work instructions, inspection documents, and technical drawings
  • Cure composite parts using ovens, autoclaves, presses, and other approved equipment
  • Follow internal, customer, FAA, and aerospace quality requirements
  • Complete assigned work while meeting established quality, safety, and production standards
 
Qualifications & Skills
 
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, skilled hand coordination, and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret design specifications, technical drawings, and written work instructions
  • Proficient with, or comfortable using, common hand and power tools, including drills, sanders, and grinders
  • Prior experience in composite fabrication or related manufacturing processes preferred
  • Experience performing laminating, layup, or vacuum bagging work preferred
  • Background in aerospace, aviation, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of composite materials, fabrication methods, and quality-focused production standards preferred
 
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Direct Hire 
  • Pay rate is $22.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
