Specialist, Data Entry

Location: Bethesda, Maryland (Hybrid)

Reports To: Manager, Data Entry

FLSA Status: Exempt

Must be able to provide proof of residence in one of these states: KS, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, TN, TX, PA, VA, WA, WV, and DC

Position Summary: The Specialist, Data Entry is responsible for entering all check payments and helping to maintain the accuracy and integrity of information in the membership and IMIS database. The Specialist additionally supports check processing, registration, and daily administrative needs in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create batch reports in the membership database
  • Membership database maintenance
  • Provide support to members

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in data entry (can include internship experience); experience within a nonprofit environment is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of database management principles.
  • Ability to work with diverse professionals on a variety of levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative, and work with minimum supervision.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to use Excel, Microsoft Office, and Adobe.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with IMIS EMS is a plus.
