ย Your Contribution:

As an Intern reporting to the Environmental Advisors, you will be integrated into the Environmental Management Department and collaborate closely with other Departments of the operation. Your role will involve ensuring the achievement of set goals and objectives while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental values.

Tasks:
  • Work alongside AEM technical experts to contribute to the management of water, mine closure, and other environmental matters.

  • Assist with the Operational Water Management Framework process, including compiling data, tracking submissions, and following up with sites to ensure timely information flow.

  • Assist with advancement of AEM's Closure Framework, including consultation with multidisciplinary stakeholders, standard development, and piloting at select projects/sites.

  • Support the development of tools, templates, or guidance documents to improve internal environmental processes.

  • Assist with preparing technical summaries, meeting notes, and documentation related to environmental programs.

  • Help maintain organized project files, datasets, and records in SharePoint or other systems.

  • Contribute to internal communications, including preparing updates, visual materials, and presentations.

  • If required, support site visits and field activities, including monitoring programs, sampling, and water treatment oversight.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the Intern's skills and learning objectives.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Environmental Sciences, Geology, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills are considered an asset.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to various Agnico Eagle sites and operations as required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.

  • Basic proficiency in French is considered an asset.

  • Previous experience in the mining industry is considered an asset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Your Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (flexible schedule).

  • Remote work arrangement, with occasional travel to our Mine sites and Corporate Office in Toronto, Ontario, for meetings and team collaboration.

Dates: September 7, 2026, to December 18, 2026.With possibility of extending to April 2027.Salary: $28.95 per hour, 37.5 hours per week.Location: Toronto, Ontario
