Data Scientist - Supporting Department of Veterans Affairs Program (Contingent Role)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team in supporting a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) program. This is a contingent position, with employment contingent upon the successful award of the contract. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to supporting veteran services through innovative data solutions.
This position is contingent upon contract award supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Candidates may be considered for this opportunity as contract staffing needs are finalized
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights relevant to VA program objectives
- Develop and implement statistical models, algorithms, and data processing techniques to support program goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Prepare comprehensive reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in accordance with VA and organizational standards
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in data science and analytics
