Title: Back-End Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA / ON-SITE
Salary: $150k - $200k
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Back End Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server-side applications that power our AI services. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of back-end technologies and a passion for building robust and scalable systems.
Duties
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Recreate google-level search over 10 billion pages in 1 month
  • Revamp document parser to work for any website
  • Make a custom vector database run over a billion vectors in under 100ms
  • Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices in software development.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge within the team.
Experience
  • Proficiency in back-end programming languages such as C#, Haskell, and Rust
  • Strong understanding of database management systems and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development tools such as Visual Studio is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while being self-motivated.
