Position Overview

Large Animal Medical Associates is a 3‑doctor large animal veterinary practice that primarily serves horses with some small ruminant and camelid clientele. We are seeking a part‑ or full‑time associate to join our team.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, lameness, reproduction, acupuncture, and chiropractic care for equine patients.
  • Perform ambulatory care and, when necessary, haul‑in patients for in‑house procedures.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment including digital radiography, digital ultrasound, power dental equipment, video endoscopy, PRP, shockwave, and an in‑house CBC/blood chemistry machine.
  • Collaborate with a tight‑knit team, maintain excellent communication, and support colleagues.
  • Occasionally assist with on‑call duties shared equally among doctors.
Qualifications
  • DVM degree in good standing.
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Vermont.
  • At least one year of equine experience or completion of an equine internship.
