RPA Developer – Microsoft Power Automate & Client EMR

Location: Nashville, TN (Remote)
Duration: Long-Term Contract (C2C)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced RPA Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Power Automate and client EMR platforms. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support automation solutions that streamline healthcare clinical and revenue cycle operations, improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Development
Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud Flows & Desktop Flows).
Automate healthcare workflows within athenahealth EMR including patient registration, scheduling, prior authorization, charge capture, claims processing, and eligibility verification.
Integrate Power Automate with athenahealth APIs, REST services, HL7/FHIR interfaces, and third-party healthcare systems.
Develop supporting solutions using Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and Azure Logic Apps.
Client EMR Expertise

Work extensively with Clinicals, Collector, and Communicator modules.
Automate revenue cycle management processes including denial management, EOB posting, referral management, and claims workflows.
Support athenahealth API integrations and marketplace solutions.
Collaboration & Support

Partner with clinical, revenue cycle, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities.
Gather requirements, document workflows, and create automation designs.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver projects within timelines.
Provide production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements.

Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all automation solutions comply with HIPAA and healthcare security standards.
Maintain Process Design Documents (PDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), and operational runbooks.
Support UAT, release management, and change control processes.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop Flows).
2+ years of experience working with client EMR (Clinicals, Collector, or Communicator).
Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse).
Experience automating healthcare clinical or revenue cycle workflows.
Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and system integrations.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
