The Lead Engineer, Salesforce is responsible for the technical leadership, solutioning, design, development, and delivery of Salesforce-based solutions supporting Pharmacy Hub Services. This role serves as the technical leader for Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and associated Hub platforms that enable patient access, benefits verification, prior authorization, copay assistance, fulfillment coordination, case management, and patient support programs.
The Lead Engineer partners closely with Product Management, Operations, Client Implementations, Architecture, Quality Engineering, and Integration teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that improve patient access and accelerate time-to-therapy. The role provides hands-on technical leadership while mentoring engineers and driving adoption of development standards, automation, and best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of enterprise Salesforce solutions supporting Pharmacy Hub operations.
  • Serve as the technical authority for Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform architecture.
  • Define and enforce development standards, coding practices, security controls, and technical governance.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to evolve the strategic Hub platform roadmap.
  • Design and implement solutions supporting:

    • Prior Authorization (PA)
    • Copay Programs
    • Patient Assistance Programs (PAP)

  • Technical Leadership
    • Lead a team of Salesforce developers and engineers.

    • Mentor engineers on Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and platform capabilities.
    • Provide guidance on complex technical issues and production support escalations.
    • Champion Agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Experience
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience.
  • 3+ years leading Salesforce development teams or enterprise implementations.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, patient services, or hub service platforms preferred.
