Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This role operates press machines that print dog-collar tags and supports various stations across the production floor. You ensure each tag is printed accurately and meets quality standards while handling metal coils that feed into the machines. When production slows, you assist with general warehouse tasks to keep the facility organized and running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Operate press machines to print dog-collar tags according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Rotate through multiple workstations on the production floor as part of the manufacturing process.
  • Read and inspect printed tags with a strong attention to detail to verify accuracy, legibility, and overall quality.
  • Load and unload 50–100 lb metal coils into the machines several times per day, ensuring proper setup and safe operation.
  • Use tape measures, hand tools, and other equipment to support machine setup, calibration, and basic adjustments.
  • Perform general warehouse duties when production is light, including moving boxes and organizing materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop area by sweeping floors and keeping workstations free of debris.
  • Assist with outdoor upkeep such as sweeping the parking lot when needed.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and best practices while operating machinery and handling heavy materials.
  • Monitor machine performance and report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 month of machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 6 months of production experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar setting.
  • Ability to lift and safely handle up to 50 lbs multiple times per day.
  • Ability to stand and remain on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.

Why Work Here?

The standard 8-hour shift structure provides predictable scheduling, helping you maintain stability both at work and at home.

Work Environment

The role is based indoors in a climate-controlled facility, providing a comfortable and consistent working environment. All primary work areas are climate controlled, and no work is performed on the non-climate-controlled third floor. The schedule follows a first shift, running from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour workday spent primarily on your feet.
