Description
This position is 30 hours a week from June 1 - July 31, 2026
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Account Managers to develop designs and solve application problems.
• Assist in robotics set up and troubleshooting
• Create 3D models and/or detailed layout drawings for applications.
• Apply applicable design and engineering standards to ensure product conformance, including NEC, OSHA, ASTM, EN, IECEx standards, and EU Directives (ATEX 94/9/EC)
• Assist in production process improvements.
• Provide support in configuring and testing systems, applications, and integrations, leveraging Microsoft suite power tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
• Use ERP/MRP system to review information (Microsoft BC365)
• Prepare documentation, workflow diagrams, and basic training materials for new or updated processes.
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a similar Engineering discipline from a four-year college or university and completion of at least two years of engineering course work.
• Developing knowledge of design technology and product applications.
• Experience with Universal robots is preferred
• Knowledge of lean concepts and ability to apply
• Ability to interpret drawings
• Ability to analyze single and multi-variable problems/data, determine a solution and implement
• Ability to support technical projects with service-oriented customer communication.
• Ability to interpret verbal and non-verbal communication to determine root cause of issues/problems, determine a solution and apply the solution.
• Strong analytical thinking and basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact with others at all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
• Frequently required to walk and stand on the production floor.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Regularly required to use or be exposed to adhesives, lubricants, solvents, cleansers, etc.
• Occasionally required to use hand or light power tools
• Frequently use PPE; safety shoes and glasses.
