Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Copperfield Orthopedic Rehab Clinic, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering individualized, patient-centered care by developing and implementing therapeutic plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate functional status and establishing personalized treatment objectives that emphasize patient engagement.
  • Overseeing a wide range of physical therapy interventions along the continuum of care, ensuring adherence to the established plan while making adjustments based on patient progress.
  • Utilizing evidence-based practices and maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards in the delivery of all therapeutic services.
  • Providing skilled therapeutic procedures at patients' homes when necessary, collaborating closely with physicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educating patients and their families or caregivers on therapeutic practices, exercises, and the proper use of any therapeutic or prosthetic devices.
  • Prioritizing your caseload effectively and coordinating patient hand-offs within the interdisciplinary team to optimize delivery of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or debilitating conditions. You will work with a diverse population, including both adult and pediatric patients. Your contributions directly impact their recovery journeys by facilitating rehabilitation that leads to improved mobility and enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid license to practice physical therapy in California.
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, demonstrating the requisite advanced education for this role.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting employment.
  • No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates.
Preferred Experience

While no experience is necessary, candidates who have completed clinical placements or internships within orthopedic settings will be viewed favorably. Your enthusiasm for learning and commitment to patient care are fundamental to your success in this role.
