Registered Nurse Clinical II - GI Lab
Valley Presbyterian Hospital
Deliver Exceptional Care in a Specialized GI Setting
At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our GI Lab nurses provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures. We're seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Clinical II - GI Lab to deliver exceptional patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced procedural environment.

What You'll Do
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after GI procedures
  • Educate patients and families throughout the care continuum, from admission through discharge
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and adjust individualized care plans
  • Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with hospital policies
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately using sound clinical judgment
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the electronic medical record
  • Promote patient safety by following infection prevention standards and hospital policies
  • Utilize SBAR communication to ensure effective collaboration with physicians and care team members
  • Support patient throughput initiatives by facilitating timely admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Participate in quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice initiatives, and ongoing professional development
  • Advocate for patients and families while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compassionate care

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum of one year of recent nursing experience in the hiring specialty
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire
  • Must maintain all required certifications, mandatory education, and occupational health requirements
