IDEA Intern

 

Mission:

The Intern supports IDEA’s mission by contributing to day-to-day team operations, project execution, and administrative priorities while developing foundational professional skills in a collaborative work environment.

Location:

This is an onsite position based in the RGV. 

 

Travel Expectations:    

Travel to IDEA training events or step-back may be required.

 What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

 Essential Duties:

  • Support assigned team with daily operational, administrative, and project-related tasks.
  • Assist with organizing, tracking, and maintaining information relevant to team priorities.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, or materials to support team initiatives.
  • Support special projects and follow-up activities as assigned.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support campus/APO with student recruitment and enrollment
  • Support in classrooms, lunch duty, pickup drop off etc. 
  • Campus events support 
  • Technology support depending on campus process (pick up/check in of
  • devices) 
  • Summer School support  
  • Front Office support (copies, phone, attendance, parents, etc.) 
  • Support lead team with data reports across departments when needed
  • Assist with preparing power points or designing power points for
  • meetings/presentations.
  • Support with information systems (if applicable) 
  • Organize documents/files across different campus departments
  • Support with testing 
  • Support lead team with textbook inventory, ordering, and distribution
  • Other duties as assigned by Assistant Principal of Operations

Required experience:

·          Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

·          Strong customer service skills

·          Multi-task oriented

Preferred experience:

·          High School Diploma

·          Planning and organizing skills

·          Interpersonal, relationship building skills

·          Has propensity for actions, willing to make mistakes by doing in order to learn and improve quickly

 

Physical Requirements:

·          Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area

·          Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

·          Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 15 pounds (occasionally)

 

What We Offer:


Duration: 8 weeks

Maximum Hours per Week: 32

Pay Rate: $10 hourly

Target Start Date: June 1, 2026

End Date: July 31, 2026
