Coilcraft, a thriving privately held company based in Cary, IL, is globally recognized for its high-quality passive electronic components. We serve various industries, including telecommunications, computing, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer electronics.

We are currently seeking a Field Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will identify and recommend optimal electronic component solutions for a variety of electronic systems. The ideal candidate will be confident working with companies in RF electronics, power electronics, and automotive electronic systems. This position primarily supports customers located throughout the Midwest.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet with users and potential users of Coilcraft products concerning applications and design challenges, focusing heavily on the automotive industry. Recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Promote beneficial partnerships with other manufacturers through cooperation on reference designs.
  • Work with Coilcraft's operations and engineering teams to support customers' specific needs.
  • Provide Coilcraft with market intelligence gained through interactions with users and potential users.
  • Identify potential new requirements for Coilcraft products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Education in electrical engineering or physics is preferred.
  • Experience working with customers in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Willingness to travel.
