Job Description:
The Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Florida invites applications for a non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor position in the Division of Biomedical Informatics. The successful candidate will lead and collaborate on data-intensive research projects involving real-world data, including electronic health records and Medicaid claims. The position provides opportunities to contribute to NIH- and PCORI-funded initiatives, advance methods in biomedical informatics and health outcomes research, and support the department's growing research portfolio.
  • Lead and support research projects focused on real-world data analytics, health outcomes modeling, and biomedical informatics.
  • Develop and apply advanced statistical and machine-learning methodologies to address complex health outcomes.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of research studies, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Prepare and submit research proposals to secure external funding.
  • Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
  • Mentor graduate students and contribute to the academic mission of the department.
