Job description

Introduction

Bigge Crane and Rigging has been elevating America since 1916. With over 1,800 cranes and a coast-to-coast presence, we buy, sell, rent, operate, and maintain one of the largest, most advanced crane fleets in the country. We’ve played a role in building some of America’s most iconic landmarks and earned a reputation for doing it right—with performance, precision, and accountability.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Salesforce Developer to join our Business Systems team and help build and maintain the Salesforce environments behind Bigge's SalesPro platform — a custom-built Salesforce environment supporting crane rental, sales, and field operations across 20+ branches nationwide. This is a hands-on development role focused on writing solid Apex and Lightning Web Components, and increasingly, applying AI tools to work faster and smarter.

This role reports directly to the Senior Salesforce Technical Lead, who sets platform direction and reviews major design decisions. You'll take ownership of well-scoped features and fixes end-to-end, with support available for the harder architectural calls.

The position is ideally based in Houston, TX, with a hybrid in-office and remote schedule. However, remote candidates may be considered for the right fit.

Responsibilities

  • Write, test, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and batch jobs, following governor limit, order-of-execution, and bulkification best practices.
  • Build and maintain Lightning Web Components using wire methods and reactive properties.
  • Build declarative automation using Flows and validation rules for day-to-day business requirements.
  • Implement custom objects, fields, relationships, and page layouts to support evolving business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day bugs and performance issues, escalating architectural or cross-system issues to the senior developer/technical lead.
  • Use Git and Salesforce DX for source-driven development, following established branching and sandbox conventions.
  • Deploy changes through existing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain data quality on assigned work, including deduplication and intake validation.
  • Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to speed up day-to-day development work.
  • Participate in agile 2-week sprints — story pointing, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Salesforce development experience with Apex and LWC as primary, daily-use skills.
  • Working understanding of governor limits, order of execution, and bulkification.
  • Familiarity with Git-based, source-driven development; exposure to SFDX and CI/CD pipelines a plus.
  • Comfortable working in agile 2-week sprints, including backlog grooming and story pointing.
  • Platform Developer I certification required.
  • Genuine interest and hands-on proficiency in using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to build and ship faster.
  • Must be located in Houston, TX or willing to relocate. Hybrid schedule required.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay and a matching 401(k) plan
  • Vacation, Company Holidays, and Sick Days
  • Flexible spending accounts/Health savings account
  • Reimbursement plan for the company Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Policy
