• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that include psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments, ensuring a holistic understanding of each client's needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, reflecting their unique goals, cultural backgrounds, and personal histories.
• Utilize proven therapeutic interventions—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT)—in a variety of settings such as individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
• Deliver crisis intervention services as required, coordinating with healthcare professionals to provide seamless support for patients in acute distress.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, encompassing progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.
• Empower clients and their families through psychoeducation, equipping them with the tools needed to manage mental health challenges effectively.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, facilitating continuity of care for patients and ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes to gauge effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to enhance client progress.
• Stay updated with research and emerging practices in mental health, integrating new knowledge into therapy sessions to benefit client care.
• Uphold ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times, fostering trust and ensuring compliance with professional codes of conduct.

Your client base will encompass individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. Cavalier Mental and Counseling Services places a strong emphasis on understanding cultural sensitivities, which will enable you to tailor your approach and therapy to the unique needs of each client.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from varied cultural backgrounds.

While a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, additional experience with trauma-informed care, or specific therapeutic modalities such as DBT or CBT, is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is beneficial as well.
